RECREATIONAL FACILITIES

ArcSine Engineering
has extensive experience in the design of power distribution, lighting,
and peripheral systems for many types of recreational facilities.
The scope of these projects varies from sizing only the
service entrance to detailed electrical and detailed design of both indoor
and outdoor lighting. Lighting design methods include zonal cavity,
point-to-point analysis, and computer-based lighting programs for major
projects. New and existing lighting systems are evaluated based on
aesthetics, initial cost, and long-term energy cost.
We also design peripheral systems such as telephone,
public address, irrigation, intrusion alarms, and fire alarms.

Following is a partial list of projects.
Complete electrical and lighting design for 142-space
recreational vehicle park. Project included RV sites, lighted signs,
tennis court, street lights, store, and caretaker’s facilities.
Power distribution design consisting of 12 service
entrances to support snowmaking activities. Included power distribution
to 101 snowmaking electrical pedestals and 46 light poles placed
throughout the ski area. Designed power distribution and control
interfaces for the water supply system consisting of two wells, a
3-million-gallon reservoir, and a pumping station.
- REDDING LIBRARY PARK AND STAGE
Power distribution and lighting design for a
municipal park targeted for outdoor concerts and special events.
Included large-scale outdoor misting systems, fiber optic lighting,
design assistance in developing custom light bollards, sound systems,
and provisions for a future fountain.
- LASSEN VOLCANIC NATIONAL PARK
Power distribution and lighting design for four
historic buildings.
Power distribution and lighting design for an entire
community on a remote Pacific island. The facility included 11 historic
buildings which are powered primarily by a diesel engine-generator
system. Design allowed for future integration of wind and solar power.
- TUZIGOOT NATIONAL MONUMENT
Power distribution rehabilitation design for a
4,900-square-foot historic facility. Designed upgrades to water systems
located in and around several historic buildings.
- GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK
Detailed design of power distribution, lighting, and
alarm systems for an 8,000-square-foot archeological artifacts storage
facility. Included extensive climate control provisions.
Design of rehabilitations and upgrades to the
electrical and instrumentation/controls for six sewage pumping stations
at camping facilities.

Power distribution, lighting, and communications
design for complete rehabilitation of a marina in Oakland, California,
including berths for over 220 boats, dock-side and shore-side power
distribution and communications design, fueling system, and new
harbormaster’s building. Design also included drawings showing
detailed electrical demolition requirements.
Complete electrical and lighting design for new
floating complex, including gas docks, moorage, service centers, rental
offices, and store.
Complete electrical and lighting design for new
floating complex including fueling facilities, a retail store, and
houseboat service bays.
Field investigation and design of power distribution
fixes and upgrades.
Design of restaurant electrical and lighting systems,
plus various investigations and designs of dock-related systems.
Design of power distribution and lighting at launch
